PRIMARY COORDINATOR

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to another term! I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing holiday. Three terms have passed very quickly and we are already in the last term of this academic year. Mrs Pandher is away, availing her long service leave and I will be doing her coordinator’s role for this term. If you have any concerns, please feel free to book an appointment to discuss any issues.I would like to share a few important matters with you.

SUN SAFETY

As we are a Sun Smart school, we have a ‘No Hat, No Play’ policy in place for this term. Please make sure that children have their hats named and with them. If they haven’t got one, please contact our office and order one for them.

HOMEWORK

All teachers have started giving homework to all students, beginning from week 2. Read with your child every night and help them with their homework. As part of our homework program, we also assign online homework using websites such as Reading Eggs and Mathletics. Please ensure that they complete all weekly tasks assigned by their teachers.

HOME ROUTINE

Routines help in developing basic work skills and time management skills. Negotiate study time and fun time with your children by helping them in making a daily schedule at home. Make sure your child is getting plenty of sleep and is ready for the next school day.

AUSTRALIAN MATHEMATICS COMPETITION

Twenty one students from our school participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition last term and we got their results last week. We have sent their certificates and results home to discuss with their parents. They did really well and were awarded the following certificates:

1-Distinction
4-Credit
9- Proficiency
7- Participation

Finally, I would like to thank all parents for their ongoing support and cooperation.
